Report (2012) of the committee on Trade and Environment
In 2012, the Committee on Trade and Environment in Regular Session (CTE) met once under the Chairmanship of Ambassador Hiswani Harun (Malaysia) on 10 February 2012 (informal meeting) and three times under the Chairmanship of Ambassador Krisda Piampongsant (Thailand) on 2 April 2012, 11 May 2012 (informal meetings) and 13 November 2012 (formal meeting).
The work of the CTE was organized in accordance with the mandate established in the Doha Ministerial Declaration, Paragraphs 32, 33 and 51. Discussions took place on environmental requirements and market access issues (first part of Paragraph 32(i)); on win-win-win situations in relation to fishing practices (second part of Paragraph 32(i)); on relevant provisions of the TRIPS Agreement (Paragraph 32(ii)); and on technical assistance, capacity building and environmental reviews (Paragra
