Addendum
1 Document WT/CTE/GEN/9, dated 21 February 2003, contains a report on the environmental aspects in the Negotiating Group on Market Access for Non-Agricultural products (NGMA). The current note is an update of the work carried out in the Group on that aspect of the negotiation.
2. The efforts of the NGMA since early 2003 culminated in an agreement on a "NAMA framework" contained in Annex B of the General Council Decision on the Doha Work Programme (so-called "July Package"). The General Council when adopting the decision on 1 August 2004
encouraged the Negotiating Group to work closely with the CTESS with a view to addressing the issue of non-agricultural environmental
