PRESHIPMENT INSPECTION

NOTIFICATIONS UNDER ARTICLE 5 OF THE AGREEMENT

ON PRESHIPMENT INSPECTION

Revision

1.     Article 5 of the Agreement on Preshipment Inspection provides that Members shall submit to the Secretariat the following information when the WTO Agreement (PSI Agreement) enters into force with respect to the Member concerned:

 

i._     copies of the laws and regulations by which the Member put the PSI Agreement into force;

ii._    copies of any other laws and regulations relating to preshipment inspection;

iii._   changes in laws and regulations relating to PSI, which are to be submitted immediately following their publication;

iv._   information that the Member has no laws or regulations relating to PSI.

 

2.     The Secretariat shall inform the Members of the availability of this information in document series _G/PSI/N/1.

 

3.     Annex 1 to this document provides an overview of the current status of Members' notifications up to 30 October 2025.[1] Documents which have been notified are available for consultation in the Secretariat, Market Access Division.

4.     Annex 2 provides a list of documents which contain the questions and answers submitted on the PSI notifications.
