NOTIFICATION OF THE TREATMENT OF INTEREST CHARGES

The following communication, dated 1 September 2025, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Pursuant to the procedures established by the Committee on Customs Valuation set out in section A.3 of document G/VAL/5, Saint Kitts and Nevis hereby notifies the Committee that it has implemented decision 3.1 on the Treatment of Interest Charges in the Customs Value of Imported Goods as part of the introduction of the Customs Act No.4 of 1992. The act makes no provision of charging interest on the sale of goods. See Customs Act No.4 of 1992 which entered into force on 28 July 1992.
