The United States would like to thank India for its responses in _G/VAL/Q/IND/8 to our questions in _G/VAL/Q/IND/7. The United States has a follow-up question below regarding those responses:

Response to Question 2:

Will the Government of India update Article 2 of Circular 20/1997-Customs dated 17 June 1997, to align with the text of the commitment in Decision 3.1 of the Committee on Customs Valuation adopted 12 May 1995 (_G/VAL/5)? India has notified the Secretariat in _G/VAL/N/3/IND/1 that it implements Decision 3.1. However, the subparagraphs of Article 2 do not align with the subparagraphs of Decision 3.1. We ask that India please update the current measure to reflect the subparagraphs of Decision 3.1 as soon as possible.
