NOTIFICATIONS TO THE WTO OF INSTRUMENTS CONCLUDED
UNDER THE 1980 MONTEVIDEO TREATY(TM80) IN 2022
On
5 December 2023 the following communication was received from the
delegation of Uruguay, on behalf of the member countries of the Latin American
Integration Association (LAIA), for circulation to WTO Members.

The
General Secretariat of the Latin American Integration Association (LAIA)
presents its compliments to the Permanent Mission of Uruguay to LAIA and
MERCOSUR, and refers to the notifications to the WTO of instruments concluded
under the 1980 Montevideo Treaty in 2022.
In
this regard, please find attached the WTO notification datasheets on the
agreements and protocols concluded in the aforementioned period, approved at the
1347th session of the Committee of Representatives of
1 December 2023, and the Permanent Mission's good offices are
requested to submit these to the WTO's Central Registry of Notifications.
A
list of the agreements and protocols submitted is enclosed herewith, together
with the suggested document symbols, which follow on from those suggested
previously.
The
General Secretariat of the Latin American Integration Association takes this
opportunity to convey to the Permanent Mission of Uruguay to LAIA and MERCOSUR
the renewed assurances of its highest consideration.
