NOTIFICATION BASED ON ARTICLE 22.1 AND 22.2
OF THE TRADE FACILITATION AGREEMENT

COMMUNICATION FROM THE UNITED STATES

The following communication, dated 12 August 2024, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of the United States.

The United States hereby makes the following notifications in response to Article 22.1 and 22.2 of the Trade Facilitation Agreement (_WT/L/931).

 

1  NOTIFIED UNDER ARTICLE 22.1:

1.1.  Annex I contains the information required pursuant to Article 22.1. It covers calendar year 2022, which is the latest year for which full information is available. With respect to Article 22.1(c), relevant information is contained in US Agency for International Development (USAID) Program Cycle, a framework which links the fundamental components of USAID's programming, including: Country/Regional Strategic Planning; Project Design and Implementation; Activity Design and Implementation; Monitoring and Evaluation; and Collaborating, Learning and Adapting. The Program Cycle is codified in the Automated Directive Systems (ADS) Chapter 201, which is USAID's operational model for planning, delivering, assessing and adapting development programming in a given region or country. 2.1.  Information on the process and mechanisms for requesting assistance and support for capacity building is as follows: USAID is the lead agency for the United States in providing capacity assistance and technical assistance. USAID maintains a comprehensive and informative website about their ongoing work, types of assistance available, mission statements, and contact information.
