Communication from The Kingdom of Bahrain
Revision
The following communication,
dated 6 May 2024, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of the
Kingdom of Bahrain.

Following up from the
notification dated 9 November 2022 (_G/TFA/N/BHR/3/Rev.1),
the Government of Bahrain hereby makes the following revision of its notifications
in accordance with Articles 1.4, 10.4.3, 10.6.2 and 12.2.2 of the Agreement on Trade
Facilitation (_WT/L/931).
Article 1,
Paragraph 4 a)
The official place(s) where the
items in Article 1 subparagraphs 1.1(a) to (j) have been published:
(a) procedures for importation, exportation, and transit (including
port, airport, and other entry‑point procedures), and required forms and
documents;
(b) applied rates of duties and taxes of any kind imposed on or in
connection with importation or exportation;
(c) fees and charges imposed by or for governmental agencies on or in
connection with importation, exportation or transit;
(d) rules for the classification or valuation of products
for customs purposes;
(e) laws, regulations, and administrative rulings of general
application relating to rules of origin;
(f) import, export or transit restrictions or prohibitions;
(g) penalty provisions for breaches of import, export, or transit
formalities;
(h) procedures for appeal or review;
(i) agreements or parts thereof with any country or countries relating
to importation, exportation, or transit; and
(j) Procedures relating to the administration of
tariff quotas
Bahrain
does not maintain tariff quotas.

10, Paragraph 4.3
Customs Affairs was able to pool a number of regulatory entities within
a unified commercial window that facilitates operations and the movement of
goods. A number of comprehensive units that contribute to facilitating its
utilization amongst the competent segments, namely, characterizes the system:
customs officers, supervisors, and customs clearing brokers, regulatory
entities, merchants and courier firms.

Bahrain Customs Affairs does not require the mandatory use of Custom Brokers.
