CERTIFICATION OF IMPROVEMENTS
TO SCHEDULES OF SPECIFIC COMMITMENTS

TRANSMISSION OF CERTIFIED TRUE COPY

        WHEREAS the Council for Trade in Services, on 18 April 2000, adopted Procedures for the Certification of Rectifications or Improvements to Schedules of Specific Commitments (document _S/L/84);

        WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the above-mentioned Procedures, a draft containing improvements to Chile's Schedule of Specific Commitments was communicated to Members of the World Trade Organization in document _S/C/W/404 on 20 December 2022, and objections to the proposed improvements were received from South Africa on 6 February 2023 (document _S/L/474) and India on 6 February 2023 (document _S/L/443), but subsequently two corrigenda to the aforementioned draft was circulated by Chile on 15 March 2023 and 2 February 2024 (documents _S/C/W/404/Corr.1 and _S/C/W/404/Corr.2, respectively), in light of which South Africa, on 16 February 2024 (document _S/L/482) and India, on 26 February 2024 (document _S/L/485), withdrew their respective objections;

WHEREAS on 26 February 2024, the WTO Secretariat issued a communication to all Members to the effect that the certification procedure concerning the above‑mentioned improvements has been concluded (document _S/L/512);

WHEREAS on 22 November 2024, Chile indicated that it has completed its relevant domestic approval procedures, and that the above-mentioned improvements shall enter into force on 20 February 2025.

        IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the annexed improvements constitute an integral part of Chile's Schedule of Specific Commitments as of 20 February 2025.

        I hereby furnish a certified true copy of the above-mentioned improvements to each Member of the World Trade Organization.[1] This certification shall be registered in accordance with the provisions of Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations.
