communication from the informal group of developing countries
The following communication, dated 16 December 2005, is being circulated at the request of the Delegation of Paraguay on behalf of the Informal Group of Developing Countries.

We, the Members of the Informal Group of Developing Countries, met for the first time at Ministerial level on the occasion of the Sixth WTO Ministerial Conference in Hong Kong, China, on 16 December 2005.
1a. We reaffirm our trust in multilateralism versus unilateralism in the conduct of trade relations and, in this sense, believe that the multilateral trading system should be strengthened to take into account the need for non-discrimination and the interests of developing countries.
