Brief description of the notified legal text

The notified legal text is the Presidential Decree on Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Copyright Act (Presidential Decree No. 34926, Promulgated on 02 October 2024).

The Enforcement Decree has been amended to facilitate the use of works whose copyright holder of author's economic rights is unknown.

To streamline the substantial effort requirement for obtaining a statutory licence, the maximum response period for an inquiry to a copyright trust service provider, etc. concerning the identity or whereabouts of a right holder has been shortened from one month to 20 days.
