Brief description of the notified legal text

The notified legal text is the Presidential Decree on Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Copyright Act (Presidential Decree No. 30898, Promulgated on 04 August 2020).

This amendment to the Enforcement Decree implements the revision of the parent law, the Copyright Act (Act No. 16933), by stipulating detailed procedures for its enforcement. The main changes include:

        1.    Establishing a procedure for persons to file an objection with the Korea Copyright         Commission if their copyright registration application is returned.

        2.    Specifying that the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall order a 3-month         business suspension for copyright trust service providers, etc., who become disqualified after         receiving their permit.
