Brief description of the notified legal text

This amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Customs Act establishes the detailed procedures for notifying rights holders of potentially infringing goods arriving at a customs clearance post office.

Specifically, Article 239 is revised to stipulate that customs shall notify not only the rights holder but also the owner of the goods. It also clarifies that the notification must include the names and addresses of the owner, consignor, and consignee. This is a follow-up measure to implement the amendment of the parent law, the Customs Act (Act No. 19186)
