Brief description of the notified legal text_

 

This legislation implements the EU Collective Rights Management Directive (Directive 2014/26/EU), which addresses collective management of copyright and related rights, as well as multi-territorial licensing of rights in musical works for online use within the internal market.

 

The Act establishes requirements to ensure the effective operation of collective management organizations, addressing aspects such as governance, financial management, transparency, reporting, and members' participation rights. The Act also seeks to facilitate cross-border licensing for authors' rights in musical works used online.
