Brief description of the notified legal text

 

Amendments in Section 63 and 70 in regard to the new Act on Collective Management of Copyright (which implements the EU Collective Rights Management Directive (Directive 2014/26/EU)). In Section 63, the approval of organizations that can enter into extended collective licensing agreements is transferred from the Ministry to The Norwegian Industrial Property Office - NIPO. In Section 70, a clarification regarding the reporting obligation under Article 17 of the Directive has been included.

 

Minor technical amendments have also been made in Sections 4, 16, 20, 21, 85, 114 and 118.
