Brief description of the notified legal text

This Order amends the Copyright and Performances (Application to Other Countries) Order 2016 (SI 2016/1219), which, along with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, extends copyright and rights in performances to foreign nationals. This Order extends further protections to copyright works from Australia and New Zealand, to implement the UK's free-trade agreements with those countries. It also extends protection to countries that had recently acceded to the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty.
