The import
prohibition on live shrimps and prawns of all stages (QR 14 in document _G/MA/QR/N/PHL/3)
has been terminated as of 26 January 2007 per Fisheries Administrative Order
(FAO) No 225 and 225-1 series of 2007 on "Allowing the importation of
the broodstock of Pacific White Shrimp, Penaeus vannamei and the culture of
the offspring thereof".
This revision provides additional information
regarding the Philippines' regulations on the prohibition of certain wildlife
species under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of
Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), as well as the restrictions on mangroves, round
logs, poles and piles, and raw rattan.
