The following communication, dated 22 January 2024, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Ukraine.

1. Complete (i.e. notification of all quantitative restrictions in force)

2. Changes to the notifications previously made in G/MA/QR/N/UKR/6 and G/MA/QR/N/UKR/6/Add.4 which are of the following nature:

2.1 Introduction of new restrictions, as listed in Section 1.

2.2 Elimination of restrictions, as described in G below.

2.3 Modification of a previously notified restriction, as described in Section 1.

E. The notification provides information for the following biennial period (e.g. 2012‑2014): 2022-2024 and relates to restrictions in force as of 1 January 2024

G. Comments of a general nature, including a description of the elimination of restrictions notified under D.2.2 and the date they ceased to be in force.

Ukraine notifies the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 27 December 2023 No. 1402 "On approval of the List of goods export and import of which is subject to licensing and quotas for 2024" according to which the following measures are in force as of 1 January 2024:

- prohibition on the exportation of salt, suitable for human consumption;

- prohibition on the exportation of coal, anthracite; briquettes, ovoids and similar solid fuels manufactured from coal;

- export quota on coking coal (grade "K" only) in amount of 900,000 tons;

- export quota on fuel oils in amount of 540,000 tons with a monthly allowable quota of 60,000 tons;

- prohibition on the exportation of natural gas of Ukrainian origin;

- prohibition on the exportation of fuel wood, in logs, in billets, in twigs, in faggots or in similar forms; wood in chips or particles, which will be in effect till 01 March 2024;

- restriction on the importation and exportation of controlled substances, goods and equipment that can contain controlled substances;

- restriction on the exportation of precious metals, waste and scrap of precious metals, electrical and electronic waste and scrap used primarily for the mining of precious metals.
