The
Turkish Food Codex Communiqué on Eggs was notified through G/SPS/N/TUR/147
(19 August 2024).
An amendment
has been proposed by means of "The Communiqué on the Amendment of the
Turkish Food Codex Communiqué on Eggs (Communiqué No: 2025/20)".
The
amendment includes some changes regarding the labelling requirements:

The requirement
for indicating the statement of "Expiration date" has changed with
the requirement for the statement of "Best before";
·_
Class A eggs
must be delivered to the final consumer within a maximum of 28 days from the
date of laying, and cannot be marketed for supply purposes beyond this
period. The best before date of
Class A eggs must not exceed 28 days from the date of laying;
·_
Class A eggs
must be graded, marked, and packed within ten days of laying.
This
Communiqué entered into force upon publication in the Official Gazette dated
18 July 2025 and numbered 32959. The Communiqué will be effective as of 31
December 2025.
