Description of content: The notified document establishes the phytosanitary requirements
governing the importation of in vitro plants (Alternanthera ficoidea) originating in and coming from the United
States.
1._
The phytosanitary certificate
must include the following additional declaration: The in vitro
ornamental plants officially inspected by the national plant protection
organization (NPPO) of the country of origin and found to be free from: Xylella fastidiosa.
2._
The IPSA inspector will take
a sample to send to the Phytosanitary Diagnostic and Seed Quality Laboratory,
with the consignment being detained until the results of the analysis are
received.
Shipments will be subject to phytosanitary checks by plant
quarantine inspectors from the Institute for Agricultural and Livestock
Protection and Health, who will verify compliance with the phytosanitary
requirements and decide whether or not to authorize importation, on the basis
of the accompanying documents.
