Description
of content: This draft Kenya Code
of Practice for the Nuts and Oil Crops industry specifies the requirements
essential for legal compliance, the responsible and safe production of annual
nuts and oilseed crops. The code also guides the procurement of inputs and
marketing of annual nuts and oilseed crops products. It applies to all
industry players in their respective and relevant value chain node including
but not limited to; seed merchants, nursery operators, growers, marketing
agents, aggregators, transporters, manufacturers, shippers, and cargo
handlers.
The code also provides the basis for
licensing and/or certification of industry players.
