NOTIFICATIONS PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XVII:4(A) OF THE GATT 1994 AND

PARAGRAPH 1 OF THE UNDERSTANDING ON THE INTERPRETATION OF ARTICLE XVII

The following communication, dated and received on 2 July 2025, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Kuwait.

Pursuant to Article XVII:4(a) of the GATT 1994 and paragraph 1 of the Understanding on the Interpretation of Article XVII of the GATT 1994, and in response to the calls for notifications contained in documents _G/STR/N/16, _G/STR/N/17, _G/STR/N/18, _G/STR/N/19, and _G/STR/N/20, covering the notification periods from 2014 to 2023, Kuwait hereby notifies that it has not maintained any state trading enterprises within the meaning of the working definition set forth in the above‑mentioned Understanding.
