STATUS OF NOTIFICATIONS SUBMITTED BY WTO MEMBERS UNDER
ARTICLE XVII:4(a) OF the GATT 1994 AND PARAGRAPH 1
OF THE UNDERSTANDING ON THE INTERPRETATION
OF ARTICLE XVII OF the GATT 1994

1._        This listing does not address the qualitative aspects of these notifications, that is, the extent to which the content of the submissions satisfies the informational requirements of the notification obligations or affects the rights and obligations of Members.

2._        The abbreviations and symbols used in the table are as follows:

·_              "N&F Notif." in the column heading indicates a new and full notification.

·_              "Upd. Notif." in the column heading indicates an updating notification.

·_              "X" denotes that a notification has been received by the WTO. Subsequent addenda or corrections to notifications are not counted as additional notifications.

·_              "N" indicates that a nil notification has been received by the WTO.

·_              A blank indicates that no notification has been received by the WTO.

·_              "*" indicates that the country/customs territory was not yet a Member of the WTO.

·_              "A" indicates the year in which the WTO Agreement entered into force for that Member (see also document _WT/INF/43/Rev.24 for detailed information).

·_              "§" indicates that the country in question is currently a member of the European Union.

·_              The shaded boxes indicate that the corresponding notification was submitted by the European Union.

·_              The letters in parentheses next to a Member's name indicate the abbreviation used in the notification for that Member.
