Question

Could Australia please provide further information on what the current timeframe is for the next review of the operation of the NSW Marketing Board, to determine whether it will continue to function or possibly be phased out?

Reply:

On 20 April 2022 the New South Wales Minister for Agriculture, and the Deputy Premier, jointly announced that the NSW Government was extending the vesting powers of the NSW Rice Marketing Board until 30 June 2027. Decisions on the vesting arrangements beyond this date will again be subject to review prior to the expiry date. Further information on the NSW Government response on rice vesting arrangements can be found on its website.
