NEW AND FULL NOTIFICATION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XVII:4(A) OF THE GATT 1994 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF THE UNDERSTANDING ON THE INTERPRETATION OF ARTICLE XVII

The following communication, dated and received on 5 March 2024, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Nicaragua.

Pursuant to Article XVII:4(a) of the GATT 1994 and paragraph 1 of the Understanding on the Interpretation of Article XVII, and in response to the call for notifications contained in document _G/STR/N/20, the Republic of Nicaragua hereby notifies that between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023, it did not have any state trading enterprises within the meaning of the working definition contained in paragraph 1 of the above-mentioned Understanding.
