COMMUNICATION FROM CHILE ON HARMONIZATION OF THE DATE
OF ISSUE OF HEALTH CERTIFICATES

Communication from Chile

The following communication, received on 4 July 2024, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Chile.

1.  This communication is to announce that the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (SERNAPESCA) of the Ministry of the Economy, Development and Tourism of the Republic of Chile is currently working to harmonize electronically transmitted data, with a view to facilitating trade in fishery and aquaculture export products.

2.  This harmonization particularly concerns the date of issue of all health certificates, which will match the date of the export authorization that is issued prior to loading or departure.

3.  This measure will apply to certificates issued from 1 August 2024 onwards.
