NOTIFICATION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 9, FOOTNOTE 2
OF THE AGREEMENT ON SAFEGUARDS

The following communication, dated and received on 2 September 2025,
is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Jordan.

In accordance with Article 12.1 (c) of the Agreement on Safeguards,
and referring to Jordan's notification 12.1(b) WTO document (_G/SG/N/8/JOR/11 - _G/SG/N/10/JOR/11 - _G/SG/N/11/JOR/7) dated 3 June 2025.
Jordan hereby notifies the Committee on Safeguards the issuance of
Council of Ministers decision to impose a safeguard measure on the imports of "safety
and protective footwear", under the tariff heading (64.02, 64.03, 64.04, 64.05) of the Jordanian Harmonized Tariff System.
According to Jordan legislation, the decision shall inter into force
as of the publication of the decision in two daily newspapers, which is 1 September
2025.
1. Provide a precise
description of the final measure:
Imposing in addition to the applied tariff duty, a specific
surcharge of JD 5.75 per pair, subject to annual liberalization of JD 0.25 per pair
as in the schedule, as follows:
