following communication, dated and received on 5 August 2025, is being
circulated at the request of the delegation of Indonesia.

The Government of
Indonesia notified the WTO Committee on Safeguards regarding the inclusion of 1
(one) additional 8-digit Harmonized System (HS) code, in accordance with the
Indonesian Customs Tariff Book (BTKI) 2022, namely: HS 3901.40.00, to be incorporated
into the products under investigation.
The inclusion of
the HS code mentioned above was requested by the Applicant (The Indonesia
Olefin, Aromatic, and Plastics Industry Association/INAPLAS)) on 15 April 2025
through letter No. 132‑A/INAPLAS/IV/2025, on the grounds that the domestic
industry also produces the like or directly competitive products with HS 3901.40.00 which likewise competes
directly within the same market in Indonesia.
