Status Report regarding implementation of
the dsb recommendations and rulings
by Indonesia
Addendum
The following communication, dated 13 March 2025,
from the delegation of Indonesia to the Chairperson of the Dispute
Settlement Body, is circulated pursuant to Article 21.6 of the DSU.
_______________
Indonesia submits its status report
on DS477/DS478 in line with Article 21.6 of the Dispute Settlement
Understanding (DSU).
Indonesia reiterates its commitment
to implementing the Dispute Settlement Body’s (DSB) recommendations and
rulings. To this end, Indonesia has enacted significant regulatory adjustments,
including amending relevant laws and ministerial regulations to eliminate the
measures at issue. These changes include the removal of restrictions related to
the harvest period, import realization requirements, six-month harvest
requirements, reference prices, domestic purchasing requirement, and
self-sufficiency policies.
Indonesia acknowledges the concerns
expressed by the complainants in the previous meetings and reaffirms that its
import policies are structured to facilitate trade in a manner consistent with
WTO rules while ensuring they do not create undue trade restrictions.
In this regard, Indonesia remains
open to engaging in constructive dialogue with New Zealand and the United
States to explore mutually beneficial solutions and bring resolution to this
long-standing dispute.
