A summary of the notification in one of the WTO official languages

The Law of Ukraine No. 3339 "On State Regulation of Genetically Engineered Activities and State Control over Placing GMOs and Genetically Modified Products on the Market" of 23 September 2023 defines the legal and organizational framework for state regulation of genetic engineering activities, ensuring environmental, genetic, food, and biological safety, as well as state control over the placing on the market of genetically modified organisms and products.

Upon the enactment of this Law, the Law of Ukraine No.1103 "On the State Biosafety System for the Establishment, Testing, Transport and Use of Genetically Modified Organisms" of 31 May 2007 shall be repealed.
