A summary of the notification in one of the WTO official languages

This Law establishes the legal, organizational and economic framework for ensuring chemical safety and the management of chemical products, aimed at preventing adverse impacts of such products on the environment and human health. It sets out requirements for the activities of business entities in the chemical industry and regulates relations arising in the field of chemical safety and chemical product management, taking into account Ukraine's international obligations.

This Law, in particular, regulates the conditions for the production, import and circulation of chemical products, sets out requirements for importers regarding identification, safety assessment and obtaining the necessary permits, and provides for specific rules for the transboundary movement and import of products containing mercury.
