Overview of the Situation
Attached are two tables showing the financial situation of the WTO extra-budgetary funds as at 31 May 2004. The first table presents a summary of the situation of the extra-budgetary funds available for TA activities. Compared to 2003, the number of earmarked trust funds has been significantly reduced as funds are being concentrated in the DDAGTF.
The expenses related to the implementation of the 2004 TA & Training Plan are also concentrated into the DDAGTF. At the end of May, they stood at CHF 13.5 million, which correspond to 56% of the budgeted cost of the Plan. As commitments for regional activities have in principle to be registered two months prior to their start, this figure incorporates already most of the expenses related to the
