MAINSTREAMING: COMBINED SCHEDULES FOR WORLD BANK
CONSULTATIVE
GROUP MEETINGS, UNDP ROUND TABLES AND
POVERTY
REDUCTION STRATEGY PAPERS
At the 21st meeting of the
Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG)[1] in
Washington D.C., 14-15 September 2000, it was agreed amongst the 6 core
Agencies that the UNDP and the World Bank would combine their schedules for
Round Tables (RTs) and Consultative Group meetings (CGs) and that the IMF and
the World Bank would provide a schedule for Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers
(PRSPs). The combined schedules will be
the basis for implementing the mainstreaming of trade into country development
strategies under the Integrated Framework for trade-related technical
assistance to Least-Developed Countries (IF).
[1] The IAWG consists of the representatives from the core agencies of
the Integrated Framework for trade-related technical assistance to
Least-Developed Countries (IF): the International Monetary Fund, the
International Trade Center, the United Nations Conference on Trade and
Development, the United Nations Development Program, the World Bank and the
World Trade Organization.
