This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial
Decree No. 246 /2025 (5 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and
importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian StandardES
3123-4 "Safety of toys – part 4: Experimental sets for chemistry and
related activities"; (41 page(s), in English).
It should be noted that the draft of this standard was
formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/537 dated 19
February 2025.
Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical
content of EN 71-4:2020+A1:2025.
Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments
in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in
the official gazette.
