Description
of content: To support the global
transition to net-zero emissions and align with national energy policies
promoting the use of renewable energy and energy storage appliances, the BSMI
has included stationary lithium battery storage appliances with a capacity of
up to 20 kWh in the mandatory inspection scope to ensure product safety. As
these appliances can be expanded based on user needs, the BSMI has proposed
broadening the inspection scope to 100 kWh and require communications
security inspections for power conversion system (PCS) with a capacity
exceeding 20 kW to reduce potential threats to grid security. Conformity
Assessment Procedures will remain unchanged.
