Description of content: The notified document was prepared pursuant to the Ministry of
Transport and Telecommunications deeming it necessary to issue new
regulations to standardize micro-vehicles, in order to:
1._
Provide new definitions of
vehicles: electrical bicycles and tricycles and personal mobility vehicles.
2._
Include a new certification
for bicycles and tricycles with an auxiliary electric motor, together with
the certification of their batteries.
3. Include a new certification for personal mobility vehicles.

Objective and rationale,
including the nature of urgent problems where applicable: The current regulations need to be aligned with international
requirements concerning electrical safety and maximum speed, with a view to
raising safety standards for this type of vehicle. As a result, it is
necessary to draw up new regulations; Protection of human health or safety.
