Description: The instruments update existing rules
on the addition of specified vitamins and minerals to non-wholemeal wheat flour
and introduces the mandatory addition of folic acid to help reduce incidences
of Neural Tube Defect (NTD) affected pregnancies. These measures come into
force across the UK from 13th December 2026.
