WORKING PROCEDURES FOR APPELLATE REVIEW
Communication from the Appellate Body
The following communication, dated 24 February 1997, from the Chairman of the Appellate Body addressed to the Chairman of the Dispute Settlement Body, is circulated to Members for information.

This is to inform you that the Appellate Body, after consultations with you and the Director-General, pursuant to paragraph 9 of Article 17 of the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes and Rule 32(2) of the Working Procedures for Appellate Review (WT/AB/WP/1) (the "Working Procedures"), has amended Rule 5(2) of its Working Procedures as follows:
5. Paragraph 2 is hereby repealed and replaced with the following:
