Communication from Argentina
The following communication, dated 26 June 2008, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Argentina.

Reverting to the concerns regarding Regulation (EC) No. 834/07 expressed in document G/TBT/W/284, submitted to the TBT Committee meeting of March 2008, Argentina would like to insist on the inconsistency of Article 24(c) of those Regulations with the TBT Agreement.
According to the said article, "organic" products processed in the EC – in other words, Community products – must identify, in their labelling, the origin of their ingredients or raw materials, in one of the following forms:
(a) "EU Agriculture", where the agricultural raw material has been farmed in the EU;
(b) "non-EU Agriculture", where the agricultural r
