COMMUNICATION FROM MALI

Addendum

The following communication under Article 15.2 of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade has been received from Mali.

1.   In accordance with notification obligations under Article 15.2 of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) and considering the decision of the TBT Committee of 14 July 1995 concerning the implementation and administration of the Agreement, Mali has accepted the Agreement establishing the WTO, the TBT Agreement and the associated Legal Instruments included in Annexes 1, 2 and 3.

2.   The Ministry of Trade is responsible for ensuring that the obligations under the agreements are fulfilled. According to the requirements of the Agreement, Mali hereby notifies that the preparation and implementation of standards have been transferred from the National Directorate of Industry (DNI) to the Malian Agency for Standardization and Quality Promotion (AMANORM), created by Ordinance No. 2012‑016/P‑RM of 19 March 2012. This body has accordingly become the National Enquiry Point for TBT notifications.
