11. Structural
adjustment assistance provided through investment aids
|
The Agriculture
Productivity Fund (APF) helps farmers in Singapore develop higher technology
farming capabilities. The APF enables the structural transformation of the
farming sector in Singapore to promote land-efficient farming given
Singapore’s unique space constraints. The APF supports the purchase of
equipment that would help increase farm’s productivity (through the Basic
Capability Upgrading (BCU) Scheme); and supports the adoption of automated,
advanced and integrated farming systems (through the Productivity Enhancement
(PE) Scheme). All APF projects with approved funding of S$30,000 and above
are eligible for cash advances of up to 30%, to ease the farms' cash flow.
