Notes:

(1)          BRAQ001: Brazil informs the Committee on Agriculture that the tariff rate quota, from August to December, for apples and pears was not implemented, given that the applied tariffs (9%) were below the in-quota rate (13.5%) for both products. Imports during 2022 (metric tonnes): Apples: 129,986; Pears: 133,019. Brazil also clarifies that the original TRQ commitment of 10,000 tonnes is applied for both tariff item numbers (08081000,08082001).

(2)          BRAQ002: Quotas are erga omnes with zero tariff. Details are established by Ordinance n°38, 19 June 2020, GECEX Determination n°135, 24 December 2020, from Ministry of Economy. Total imports (SH 100111; 100119; 100191; 100199) during 2022: 5,716,479 metric tonnes. Brazil also clarifies that the original TRQ commitment of 750,000 tonnes is shared by tariff item numbers (100119,100199). Brazilian tariff stablishes duty free for wheat seeds.
