REQUEST FOR CONSULTATIONS UNDER ARTICLE 12.3 
OF THE AGREEMENT ON SAFEGUARDS INDI


The following communication, dated and received on 15 August 2024, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of India.

The Committee on Safeguards has circulated to WTO members the notification no. G/SG/N/8/IDN/20/Suppl.2 dated 12th August 2024 by the Indonesia concerning the extension of a safeguard measure against the importation of Ceramic flags and paving, hearth or wall tiles. As a member having substantial trade interest in the export of products concerned, India hereby requests consultations with the Indonesia pursuant to Article 12.3 of the Agreement on Safeguards with view to review the information provided under Article 12.2 and exchange views on the extension of the measures. India would like to propose that consultations mentioned above take place virtually on 19th August or 20th August or on a mutually convenient date and time. India reserves all its rights under the agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization and its Annexes, including the Agreement on Safeguards. _______
