5  DESCRIPTION OF THE MEASURE:

To address local manpower shortage, the Supplementary Medical Professions (Amendment) Ordinance 2025 creates a new limited registration pathway for qualified non-locally trained allied health professionals, who possess the qualifications and experience recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council and subject to their fulfilment of certain criteria, to practise in designated institutions, including public hospitals and training institutions, etc. Each limited registration should be valid for no more than three years, and renewable upon expiration.
