5  DESCRIPTION OF THE MEASURE:

The Immigration Act 2022 and the Economic Development Board Act 2024 were amended in July 2024 to, among others, provide for the revision of the monthly basic salary from Rs 30,000 to Rs 22,500 for a non-citizen applying for an Occupation Permit under the professional category in all sectors.
