procedures for the derestriction OF
additional negotiating materials

Approved by the Committee on 2 May 2017

Members are given three months from the date of this document to review the documents drawn up by them and that are listed in the annexes^[1], and to notify the Secretariat of any document which they consider should remain restricted for a further period of time.  Electronic versions of the relevant documents will be provided by the Secretariat to the relevant Members upon request.  Such requests should be addressed to the Secretariat no later than one month from the date of this document.

A draft Decision proposing the general derestriction of all documents listed in the annexes, as well as the automatic derestriction at a later date of those documents notified by delegations as warranting further restriction, will be circulated by the Secretariat in August 2017. The Chairperson will held open-ended consultations on the draft Decision in case necessary.  

Members will take up the draft decision for consideration and action at the Committee's formal meeting that will take place during the second part of 2017.
