QUESTIONS FROM CHINA TO THE UNITED STATES ON ITS
STATE TRADING ENTERPRISES NOTIFICATION
The following communication, dated 13 April 2017, is being circulated at the request of the
delegation of China.

Questions
Upon review of the 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 notifications submitted by
the United States (G/STR/N/11/USA, G/STR/N/12/USA, G/STR/N/13/USA, G/STR/N/14/USA,
G/STR/N/15/USA, G/STR/N/16/USA), it appears that the US only provide the statistical
information for the year just prior to the notification year, which means that the US has omitted
the statistical information for 6 years, namely 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014. Could the US
please explain why it has failed to fulfill the notification requirements for Section IV stated in the
document G/STR/3/Rev.1, which is "Tables should cover the most recent three years for which
data is available"? Could the US please indicate when it will provide the statistical information for
the omitted 6 years?
