Notifications Pursuant to Article XVII:4(a) of the GATT

Paragraph 1 of the Understanding on the Interpretation of
Article XVII

The following communication,
dated 4 February 2014, is being circulated at the request of the Delegation of
Kuwait.

Pursuant to Article XVII:4(a) of
the GATT 1994, and Paragraph 1 of the Understanding on the Interpretation of
Article XVII, and in response to the notification requirements contained in
documents G/STR/N/1; G/STR/N/2; G/STR/N/3; G/STR/N/4; G/STR/N/5; G/STR/N/6; G/STR/N/7;
G/STR/N/8; G/STR/N/9; G/STR/N/10; G/STR/N/11; G/STR/N/12; G/STR/N/13; G/STR/N/14;
and G/STR/N/15 covering the notification periods from 1995 to 2014, Kuwait
hereby wishes to notify that it has not maintained any state trading
enterprises within the meaning of the working definition set forth in the
above-mentioned Understanding.
