The following communication, dated 24 October 2005, from the Delegation of the United States is being circulated pursuant to paragraph 1 of the Decision on Implementation of Article 66.2 of the TRIPS Agreement. It was circulated as an advance copy for the Council's October 2005 meeting.

The United States has undertaken to provide information regarding its activities relevant to Article 66.2 of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). The present document updates the report provided by the United States in 2004 (IP/C/W/431/Add.5) for consideration of the TRIPS Council.
