SUMMARY OF THE MEETING HELD ON 29-30 MARCH 2001
Note by the Secretariat
The Committee on Agriculture held its twenty-sixth regular meeting on 29-30 March 2001 under the chairmanship of Minister Yoichi Suzuki, of Japan. The agenda of the meeting as contained in WTO/AIR/1518 was adopted with the following modifications: the inclusion of a joint proposal (G/AG/W/50) by MERCOSUR, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, India and Malaysia under Part I, G (i), "Implementation of Article 10.2"; and, the inclusion of a joint proposal (G/AG/W/49) by Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Honduras, Jamaica, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Pakistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia and Venezuela, for consideration under Part II, A, "Examination of possible means of improving the effectiveness of the implementation of the Marrakesh Decision".
